Discover the Power of Black Seed Oil: Your New Wellness Essential 🌿

Want to kick your game up a notch? Black Seed Oil is a highly versatile addition to your self-care routine and can actually be ingested on its own or in capsules to enhance and elevate your overall wellness routine. Let’s learn a little more about this high-quality oil.

What is Black Seed Oil?

Used in folk remedies for thousands of years and known as “the seed of blessings” in both ancient and modern texts, tiny black seeds are found in the fruits of Nigella sativa – a small, flowering shrub native to Eastern Europe and southwestern Asia. When pressed, the seeds release an oil rich in unique essential fatty acids and other botanical compounds.

Is Black Seed Oil also known as Black Cumin?

Yes! Like other oils and herbs that have been used for centuries, Black Seed Oil is known by several names. One of these is “black cumin.” But don’t be confused – you may hear of another botanical with the same name: Bunium bulbocastanum. While both are used for a number of health benefits, we’re referring to the black seeds of the Nigella sativa shrub.

What is Black Seed Oil used for?

Black Seed Oil benefits are plentiful. The oil is rich in thymoquinone – a botanical active – and can be ingested (we recommend adding a drop to your tea or hot water with lemon with some honey) or applied topically to help cleanse pores and soothe. A hair mask can also be beneficial to your locks and scalp – just place a bottle of Heritage Store Black Seed Oil in a warm bowl of water for 5 minutes. Then, working from root to tip, apply the oil by massaging it in the scalp. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes and then wash your hair as you normally would.
