Nature’s Shield black castor oil contains a superior alkaline ash content which bestows it with enriching emolliating properties specifically powerful for cosmetic care.
 
They are extract using the traditional Jamaican method - roasting the seeds to produce a rich colour and aroma. The roasted seeds are then cold pressed to produce the oil.
The unique method of roasting castor seeds creates a dark, aromatic, rich black castor oil esteemed for its more alkaline pH and a high concentration of ricinoleic acid. Black castor oil’s high viscosity and solubility make it excellent for conditioning and external hydration.
