BAKING TIPS
• Sprinkle on your cereal or yoghurt.
• Make Carob flavoured pancakes, slices and protein balls.
• Use in place of icing when dusting over cakes.
FAIRY CUPCAKES RECIPE
(makes 24 small cup cakes): 115g butter, 100g castor sugar (brown or white), 2 eggs, 50g roasted carob powder, 140g plain flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 cup milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla essence.
Beat butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla essence. Gradually add sifted, dry ingredients and milk. Spoon into paper cases and bake for 18 minutes on 180 degrees celsius, until golden. Cup cakes can be enjoyed plain, with a dusting of carob powder or lash out and ice with carob powder and icing sugar.
